Learning to Run

I've been talking to various people in the pastry world about what they do to keep in shape.  Most of them run. So the question is posed: How do I start running when I dont like running? Also, I havent run in a while. I began researching and found a Couch to 5k Running Plan. Seems reasonable.

Plan:

My thoughts: I can do 3 times a week...and it works up to a 5k.

Graduation & New Beginnings

Saturday was graduation, finally. The school holds two ceremonies a year.

- so all in all, im happy that i went though the program. I met a lot of great people, learned a lot of wonderful techniques, and launched my career in the pastry arts.


Now as for the new beginnings, last night I staged at the wonderful resutrant Empire State South.
The pastry department was small, clean, and organized. Its a nice change of pace from the bakery.

U P D A T E

Merry Christmas.

Happy New Year.

Its been too long my friends, too long.

Nevertheless, I will recap whats been happening in my life.


//Over Christmas break, there was a FOOT of snow in Blue Ridge...we were snowed in for three days.  Once we tried to leave, we ended up in a ditch...my dad first tried pulling us out with his truck. no luck. Then resorted to his skidstere and pulled us up the driveway.

//On new years eve, I was rear ended and then hit the guy in front of me...no good.

//I put in my two weeks notice at work...decided that working there wasnt healthy. I was so stressed all the time!

And so I have broken free, re-prioritized my life..trying to get myself back on track.


We took a quick trip to Florida to have Christmas with Charlies family...and i forgot my camera..we were trying to leave Atlanta before the snow hit us.


However, I would like to continue blogging. I think I am going to start a new project - Document what Charlie wears every day for a year.
